The children of the Willow Room have been learning about the enchanting world of the rain forest. We have enjoyed wonderful stories about the variety of animals and plants that live in the rain forest. We have our own, imaginary rain forest on our playground and as we sit under the tree, we learn about just how important the rain forest is to our planet
Many thanks to the Davenport and Collins families for snacks, The Geriens for their trips to the library for classroom books, and Julie Gerien and Lindsay Keller for time spent as reading parents. Thank you to all of the parents who participated in School Beautification Day and, Chris Mottalei, we love our new bench!
Kindergarten Extended DayThe kindergarten students are doing a bit of self-reflection and, through books and stories, thinking and talking about how their own personal behavior affects other people. They continue to develop skills in listening to one another and sharing ideas. They are currently preparing to perform "The Three Bears" for their classmates. We are creating costumes and props and are very excited about performing.
