Mulberry staff extends a warm welcome to our new class of 2010-11!  We are excited to share our beautiful environment, with a fresh coat of paint, some new design twists, and a finished concrete patio and outside work area.

We acknowledge the hard working teachers who spent hours in cleaning and organizing the classroom, and especially Rene' Hall, who "gave her right arm" in assisting the project.  Thank you to everyone for a united effort in creating the most beautiful place for us all to work, learn, and grow in.

We would like to extend our special thanks to:

Christopher and Mark Singer, who along with the Boy Scouts , friends, and family members, who worked hard to prepare and pour a concrete patio extension and walkway as Christopher's Eagle Scout project.

Joel Tapia, who is lending his handyman skills to help with upgrades and repairs.

Jordan Michels and David Tres, for gardening assistance, along with Napa County Recylcing and Waste Services, donating garden soil for our planter received from the Izzi Family.

We welcome the return of former student Laura Michels, now as a Montessori teacher intern with her many gifts and talents.  Our Mondays will start the week with some extra sunshine with Rene Hall joining us. Another new face will be that of Jan Ilsley, assisting us on Fridays, bringing her skills from more than a decade of Montessori experiences.  Returning to the Mulberry scene are: Cheryl Moore, as head teacher, with Christine Hoyt and Amy Hebert's invaluable assistance.

Looking forward to the beginning of our school year, seeing familiar faces, and meeting new ones, we can't wait  for our new adventures to begin!  In addition to some social skills training, routines and  classroom basics, our units of study will begin with ocean life, followed by harvest time studies before a focus on human bodies in October. We are currently cooking up fun events for all, so stay tuned ~ and, WELCOME!
