Cheryl MooreWhen asked about her interests and hobbies, Cheryl simply replies, "Everything!". She particularly enjoys art, music, gardening, writing, research, and the environment. After receiving her Montessori training, Cheryl started her career at Sunrise in 1982, where she has held various positions including childcare director, lower elementary teacher, and art and music teacher.
Christine HoytChristine's teaching career includes positions as a preschool teacher at the International School in Tokyo, Japan, and a toddler teacher at the Sun and Stars Montessori in St. Helena. Prior to launching her teaching career, she was a chemist, having received her Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Maine.
Patricia ManriqueOriginally from Mexico, Patricia moved to Napa in 1981. She worked in the wine industry for 20 years before beginning her career in childhood education at Sunrise Montessori in 2002. She is currently completing her internship in Montessori training. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her 14-year old twins.
Amy Hebert
Amy attended Southern Oregon University and
Pacific Union College where she studied photography
(Sunrise is fortunate to have a resident photographer!) and Early
Childhood Education.
She came to Sunrise in 2008 and assists in the Mulberry and Maple rooms. Amy and her husband, Jason are active volunteers in the community and parents to daughters, Sadie (6) and Saisha (11). Laura MichelsA recent graduate from San Jose
State University with a Bachelors Degree in Child and Adolescent
Development, Laura has decided to move back home to Napa with her
husband and join the Sunrise community once again. Laura is an alumni
from Sunrise Montessori and is currently in her Montessori Teacher
Training Internship. With two years experience as an assistant
teacher, and numerous years working with children, Laura says “this new
chapter of my life is very exciting and a wonderful gift.”
