Sunrise has a nondiscriminatory policy of admission, based on space availability, gender and age balance, and the agreement by staff and parents that both the child and class will benefit from the child’s enrollment. Current and previous Sunrise students and their siblings are given priority. Parents wishing to enroll their child must complete the following procedure: 1. Observe in the classroom. Parents should observe without their child. 2. Complete and return the application with nonrefundable application fee. 3. Meet with the school administrators when a spot is available. 4. A new child will spend a minimum of 1 or 2 days in the program so that the teachers can meet him or her and assess his or her readiness.
Because we often have waiting lists for all of our programs, it is recommended that parents start the enrollment process by observing during the Fall or Winter of the year prior to their desired enrollment. Class placement is then determined in the Spring of each year. Please contact us to schedule an observation or request an information packet.
Please note that we do not keep a "running" waiting list from year to year. Interested parents must reapply each year for the upcoming school year. However, the nonrefundable application fee of $35 is only paid once.
